November Update

It’s been some time since our last update, but that’s not because we haven’t been doing anything. I actually spent most of the summer months overseas. I began by taking my first trip to Zambia, where I spent much time at Lighthouse Christian School and Christ Community Church. I was greatly encouraged at what God is doing there. Then it was on to Uganda, the pearl of Africa. There I was able to spend a great deal of time with Oscar at God Cares Farm as well as with John and Heavenly Delights. I was blessed by my time at the Millennium Universal College as I was able to speak to the entire school community, encourage the teachers, consult with the directors and stakeholders, and tour their new school site (currently under construction).

After Africa, I was thrilled to be able to return to the Dominican Republic where me and my father, Eddie Beck, were able to deliver some of the resources purchased with funds from the Joan Beck Literacy Memorial Fund. Towards the end of July, I then took my first trip to the Far East as I spent time in Hong Kong, S. Korea, and Taiwan. I was blown away at not only the many needs in that part of the world but at the numerous evidences of God’s clear hand at work in so many lives and situations. Overall, the summer was very productive for Grace Seed.

Now it’s time to continue the work God has called us to—developing sustainable small businesses as well as educational initiatives throughout the Majority World (Africa, Asia, Latin America). There are plenty of ways that you can be an active part of what we are attempting in Jesus’ name. As always, we are grateful for your ongoing prayer and financial support.

Over the next few days we’ll be posting more updates on each of these things I’ve mentioned. Be sure you subscribe to our monthly newsletters by signing up in the right side bar.
